JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers found love on The Bachelorette. Now they’ll help others do the same on the reality dating series, The Big D.
JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers, who fell in love and got engaged for his season of the bachelorettewill host a new reality TV show about dating, Great D. JoJo, a 31-year-old real estate developer from Dallas, Texas, was first introduced to Bachelor Nation during Ben Higgins season The single person in 2016. She was the finalist, but she was so popular and loved by viewers that she became the bachelorette later this year. JoJo and Jordan, a 33-year-old former college and professional soccer player and sports commentator, will wed this month and have an Italian-themed wedding.
JoJo and Jordan have hosted shows together in the past. In 2018, they appeared in a Web Kin series titled Engaged with JoJo and Jordan, which has been described as a combination of reality TV and DIY home decor. They then hosted the CNBC reality show Notepad in 2019, a show about house flipping. On the show, JoJo was able to use her skills as a property developer to work with Jordan to help landlords turn their properties into short-term vacation rentals. Later this year, the bachelorette hosted couple Battle of the fittest couples on the Paramount Network, a show in which couples competed to win a $100,000 cash prize and the title of “Fittest Couple”.
Now, E! News reports that JoJo and Jordan will help divorced couples find new love in a new TBS reality dating contest series called The big D including the premieres on July 7. In the show, six recently divorced couples move to a tropical resort in Costa Rica to try to find love with others who have recently found themselves single. The twist is that they have to live with their exes while they date the other contestants. The show’s trailer offers plenty of drama and emotion, with the bachelorette stars JoJo and Jordan serving as guides as hosts. In the trailer, Jordan tells the contestants, “Believe it or not, your ex is actually there to help you.”
According to the network, the group will participate in “eye-opening EX-relationship exercises designed to help singles bond, make peace with ex-partners, and finally overcome the issues that keep them from dating.” During each episode, a person who “isn’t it a material relationship” will be eliminated. The network reveals that “Jealous exes can try to send their rival home or maybe even defend their ex’s honor – the possibilities are endless.” The trailer is intense, filled with arguments, confessions of love, and typical reality TV drama. Whether or not the contestants find love like the kind JoJo and Jordan found on the bachelorette remains to be seen, but the show certainly seems to bring plenty of laughs and tears throughout the season.
JoJo and Jordan’s latest venture into reality TV starring The big D looks like a great choice for viewers who love a good summer reality show. Their time on the bachelorette will definitely help guide these competitors in the right direction. Maybe JoJo and Jordan can help people trying to start over after divorce on The big D find a lasting love like theirs.
