William Shatner’s Space Travel Gets Documentary on Prime Video

At CCXP Worlds 2021, Prime Video announced Shatner in space, a new documentary that follows William shatnerrecent space travel. Shatner is known to have played Captain Kirk in the 1960s Star trek series, a role that gave him the privilege of seeing our little blue planet on board Jeff Bezos‘Blue Origin rocket.

Shatner boldly went where few people went before last October 13, with Blue Origin’s vice president of mission and flight operations, Audrey Powers, and two paying customers. Amazon founder Bezos, owner of Blue Origin, oversaw the trip, for which Shatner was a guest. After landing, Shatner was naturally emotional, describing the trip as “amazing” and stressing how “everyone needs to see” our home planet from afar. Summarizing his experience, Shatner also said, “I hope I never get over it. I hope I can keep what I feel now. I don’t want to lose it.

While Shatner’s reaction to the post-landing trip is already a treat for Star trek Fans, Shatner in space will show new images of the discovery of space by our eternal Captain Kirk. Additionally, the documentary will bring us one step closer to the dream of seeing Earth from afar with our own eyes, as we share Shatner’s astonishment with the spectacular sight he had on board the Blue Origin rocket.
