Hours after Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was gunned down in Mansa district, Punjab DGP VK Bhawra said on Sunday night that Moosewala had a bulletproof private car but chose not to go there. travel today.

The DGP said 30 bullets were fired at Moosewala’s car in the Thar and that “30 empty crates of various weapons were found”.

Meanwhile, on the instructions of Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann and Director General of Police (DGP) of Punjab VK Bhawra, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Bathinda Range Pardeep Yadav has assembled a team of special investigation (SIT) of three members to ensure an efficient and rapid investigation. of the murder of Shubhdeep Singh alias Sidhu Moosewala.

SIT members include SP Investigator Mansa Dharamveer Singh, DSP Investigator Bathinda Vishawajeet Singh and CIA Incharge Mansa Prithipal Singh.

Sidhu Moosewala, who left his house around 4.30pm with two people – his neighbor Gurwinder Singh and his cousin Gurpreet Singh – was shot dead by unidentified people. Shubhdeep Singh was driving his Mahindra Thar vehicle.

DGP VK Bhawra told the media that when Sidhu Moosewala reached the village of Jawahar Ke, they were followed by a white Corolla and they were intercepted from the front by two cars, including a white Bolero and a dark gray Scorpio .

“There was heavy fire from the front on Sidhu Moosewala and his friends, where all were shot and wounded,” he said, adding that the police team immediately went to the scene and that the trio were taken to Mansa Civil Hospital, where Sidhu Moosewala was declared. brought in dead, while his cousin and friend are in stable condition, and they were referred to Patiala for further treatment.

During the withdrawal of security from Sidhu, the DGP said that in view of Ghallughara week, the police had temporarily withdrawn only two security personnel from Sidhu Moosewala for law enforcement reasons, while he had two policemen from the Commando Battalion deployed with him. “When leaving the house today, Sidhu did not take his two policemen and also left his bulletproof private car at home,” he said.

The DGP said, on the face of it, it appears to be a gang rivalry between the Lawrence Bishnoi group and the Lucky Patial group. “The Lawrence Bishnoi group took responsibility for the murder of Sidhu Mooswala, citing it as retaliation for the murder of Vicky Middukhera,” he said.

Relevantly, three shooters identified as Sunny, Anil Lath and Bholu, all residents of Haryana, have already been arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell in connection with the murder of Vicky Middukhera, while another accused identified as Shaganpreet, who was manager of Sidhu Moosewala was also named accused in the registered FIR regarding Vicky’s murder. Shaganpreet fled to Australia and is wanted by the police.

The DGP said preliminary investigations revealed that three weapons, including 7.62mm, 9mm and .30 caliber guns, were used in the crime. The investigation is still ongoing, he added.

Meanwhile, the DGP ordered IG Bathinda range Pradeep Yadav, SSP Mansa Gaurav Toora and SSP Bathinda J Elanchezian to camp at Mansa, while ADGP (Law and Order) mobilized the necessary force to catch the murderers of Sidhu Moosewala.
