Travel blogger and cinematographer Sachin Shetty is making it big in his life by living his dream. He enjoys exploring uncharted territories and inspires others to do so as well.
The Udupi-based owner of Shutterbox Films is a high-spirited guy who isn’t afraid of a challenge. Instead, he meets every challenge head-on, and that’s how he’s always emerged victorious. From traveling through India, Nepal and Bhutan on a bicycle to riding in Rajasthan in 52 degree temperatures, his life is full of memorable adventures.
Sachin started traveling by exploring nearby places in 2013. His first bike was a Pulsar 220, and now he owns Suzuki Hayabusa, Re Himalayan, Hero Xpulse, Yezdi, Lamby, Vijai Super and Suzuki Burgman. Sachin enjoys spending most of his time traveling and inspires others to do so.
Since his beginnings and until today, Sachin Shetty devotes most of his time to travel because he likes the feeling of being a rider and a traveler. As a hardcore traveler, he participated in the Limca Record event on Jawa Vintage Bike. In 2017, he made a solo trip from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. In 2018 he completed the India-Bhutan-Nepal route and then the following year he did the Spiti Valley route.
Last year, Sachin Shetty traveled to North Karnataka, Run of Kutch, and fully explored Kerala. This year he also traveled to Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Nepal. During the pandemic, Sachin had to stop traveling for a while, but once the restrictions eased, he continued to live out his cravings. But as an extremely responsible and expert traveler, he took care of all safety precautions. “We used our own camping setup and cooked our own food to stay safe,” he mentions.
Now Sachin’s goal is to travel the world on his bike, and he plans to do so within the next five years. But before that, he plans to tour Southeast Asia on a solo bike. Sachin aspires to help people realize the beauty of the world by visiting places in India and outside. He especially wants to help those who hardly ever travel due to economic problems.
For his work so far, Sachin has received several accolades. It won 3 national and 1 international awards for best cinematography.
