Opening of the Tupac Shakur traveling exhibition “Wake Me When I’m Free” in Los Angeles in January

The life and inheritance of the deceased Tupac Shakur is the subject of a new traveling exhibition entitled “Wake me up when i’m free. “It will premiere in Los Angeles on January 21 at The Canvas @ LA Live. They call it a “museum experience” and here’s more:

Part museum, art installation and sensory experience, WMWIF will present Shakur’s never-before-seen music, poetry and artifacts in an organized 20,000 square foot space similar to a contemporary art museum. Guests will pass through a myriad of surround sound spaces, rich in technology-built rarities. WMWIF will delve deeper into the broader meaning of its activism, music and revolutionary art. Participants will be educated and enlightened through a labyrinth of emotions during this journey through his extraordinary life.

“Wake Me When I’m Free” was created in collaboration with Tupac Shakur Estate by Nwaka Onwusa of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Creative Director Jeremy Hodges and his company, Project Art Collective. “It’s a privilege to be a part of such a monumental project,” Hodges said. “Tupac Shakur was my Malcolm; he was my Martin, and building an experience that honors such a prolific man cannot be summed up in words. We wanted to create a memorable experience that will make you be better than when you walked in., Everything by letting you know he was a true revolutionary spirit. “

Tupac and Black Panther mother Afeni Shakur, who died in 2016, will also be present at the exhibition. “Afeni was the meanest black woman to walk the planet,” said Tupacgodfather and special advisor to the Jamal Joseph estate. “She raised awareness and changed the atmosphere everywhere she went. TupacThe glow of shone brighter than the Sun. He lived and moved with the speed of a creative – revolutionary – fearless – comet fueled by passion. Afeni and Pac have challenged, reinvented and transformed history.
