Jared Kushner discussed the details of his new book “Breaking History,” which chronicles how he brokered former President Donald Trump’s trip to Saudi Arabia and saved NAFTA on “Jesse Watters Primetime.”

JARED KUSHNER: It was a very novel and controversial idea at the time that the President’s first trip would be to Saudi Arabia. I wrote in the book about the fights we had with Rex Tillerson, who was Secretary of State, and Mattis, who basically said we should go to Canada and cut a ribbon. But Trump said: “I want to get to work.”

JESSE WATTERS: THIS MAKES THE FBI SO BAD

The biggest problem at the time was that ISIS had an Ohio-sized caliphate in the Middle East and Iran was teeming with money. And you had all the extremists radicalizing people in America. And Trump went to Saudi Arabia on the trip and basically said, “You know, Jared, first of all, if it goes bad, it’s not going to be good for you.” But the Saudis did a great job of bringing the leadership together, and we were really able to fight extremism, and that led to a lot of great successes in the Middle East, including the Abraham Accords and the peace accords there -down.
