IRCTC Launches Low-Cost “Religious Tourism Package” from Lucknow to Nepal

Lucknow, Apr 28 (PTI) The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched an international religious tour package from Lucknow to Nepal by air at a moderate cost for this summer, an official said Thursday.

The six-day, five-night package will begin June 19 and end June 24.

IRCTC (Lucknow) Chief Regional Director Ajit Kumar Sinha said that under the scheme, people will fly from Amausi airport here to Kathmandu.

In Nepal, they would be taken to Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Durbar Square and different places in Pokhara.

Sinha said an individual would be charged 48,500 rupees for the tour while the cost for two people booking together would be 39,000 rupees each and would decrease further for three people in a group.

The package includes accommodation in a three-star hotel and Indian food, he added.

“Based on the response, further such trips will be organized from Lucknow to Nepal,” Sinha said.

Booking of the package can be done at the IRCTC office in Gomtinagar or on the IRCTC website, he added. PTI SNS NB CR
